NOT SURE WHAT SERVICE YOU REQUIRE?
HERE’S A LITTLE INSIGHT INTO THE WORLD OF PLASTERING…

SKIMMING
This is the most common service we provide. We apply a thin coat (approx 3mm) of plaster to the walls and ceiling and trowel it to a smooth flat finish ready for painting.

OVERSKIMMING
This is the same as skimming except with the use of a bonding agent we can go over existing surfaces, including artex providing the substrate is sound and solid.

FLOATING
This is the traditional method of apply a backing coat (approx 10mm) to brick/block walls and using a straight edge to make sure it is flat. We then use a poly float to provide a key for the skim coat to adhere to.

DRY LINING (DOT AND DAB)
This is where we use adhesive to stick plasterboards to the wall, this is a preferred method for many to floating as the plaster dries quicker, it is easier to get level and there are fewer chances of cracks.

TRADITIONAL RENDERING
Sand and cement render can be applied to the exterior walls of your property to provide a smooth flat weather proof surface ready for painting alternatively we can apply pebbledash or tyrolean to give different effects.

PRE BAGGED/ACRYLIC RENDERS
Modern renders are becoming more and more popular as they can be used over existing render providing it is sound and solid. They come in many different colours, which eliminate the need for painting and some are even self-cleaning! They also incorporate a fully meshed base coat which eliminates the possibility of cracking.

COVING
We can supply and fit many different types of coving and cornice from basic coving to the more elegant plaster cornice available on the market.

PAINTING
If you feel that you would like you’re newly finished project to be professionally decorated we can also incorporate this into the job.

FLOOR SCREEDING
To screed, a floor there must be a minimum depth of 50-75mm. Then we use a sand and cement mix and a straight edge to make the floor level and give it a trowelled finish alternatively. If your floor is relatively flat but not good enough for tiling or a wood floor, we can apply a thin latex self-levelling coat ready for your desired flooring. Please contact us for a free no obligation quote, if you have any other questions, we are more than happy to help.
